Vision problems affect 1 in 20 preschoolers and 1 in 4 school-going children in the developed world. This figure is estimated to be much higher in the developing countries like Pakistan where majority of population has no or little access to basic health facilities.
We at Care and Kindness believe that early detection of site / eye related a problem is not only a key to minimize vision loss, it will also improve children's quality of learning life.
A team of doctor, technicians and field officer visit underprivileged schools in different areas; after eye screening of students immediate help is provided. Students with refractive errors get spectacles and complicated cases are referred to the hospital for further treatment where they can get free eye care services.
